How to Install IPTV on Samsung & LG Smart TVs (No Extra Box)

One of the most common questions we get: "Do I need to buy a Firestick for my Smart TV?" If your TV is a Samsung (Tizen) or LG (webOS) from roughly 2018 onwards — no. The player installs directly on the TV.

Samsung Smart TV setup

  1. Press Home on your remote and open Apps.
  2. Search for IBO Player Pro and install the genuine app (check the icon on our tutorial page).
  3. Open the app and note the MAC Address and Device Key shown on screen.
  4. Send both to us on live chat, WhatsApp or email — we activate your line remotely.
  5. Add your playlist with the login details from your welcome email, reload, and you're live.

LG Smart TV setup

Identical flow via the LG Content Store: install IBO Player Pro, note the MAC Address and Device Key, send them over for activation, add your playlist. Ten minutes, start to finish.

If your TV is older

Pre-2018 TVs sometimes can't run modern player apps. A £30–£40 Firestick plugged into any HDMI port solves it instantly — and gives you a snappier interface than most older TV systems anyway.

Picture quality tip

Smart TVs on Wi-Fi at the far end of the house are the #1 cause of buffering complaints. If 4K streams stutter, try an Ethernet cable — most Samsung and LG sets have a port on the back. More fixes in our buffering guide.
